DevOps Observability (SRE) Engineer

Responsibilities

  • Design solutions to ensure high availability and fault tolerance of systems
  • Implement and maintain high-availability architectures
  • Develop and maintain the observability strategy
  • Configure monitoring, dashboards and alerting systems
  • Work with the observability stack (OpenTelemetry, Grafana stack, ELK, etc.)
  • Establish incident management processes
  • Develop incident response procedures and playbooks
  • Respond to incidents via PagerDuty
  • Participate in on-call rotations
  • Conduct incident Post-Mortem and RCA
  • Develop measures to prevent recurring incidents
  • Collaborate with development teams on system reliability
  • Implement principles of reliable system design
  • Train engineering teams in observability and monitoring tools

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience as an SRE Engineer
  • Experience with observability tools (OpenTelemetry, Loki, Grafana, Tempo, Mimir, VictoriaMetrics, ELK, Vector, Sentry)
  • Experience with Kubernetes and Docker
  • Experience defining infrastructure as code using Terraform and Ansible
  • Experience with CI/CD systems (GitLab CI/CD, ArgoCD)
  • Experience supporting backend teams working with .NET
  • Experience handling critical incidents
  • Experience conducting Post-Mortem and RCA
  • Ability to collaborate with multiple engineering teams
  • Proactive mindset and willingness to suggest improvements to system reliability and processes

Working Conditions

  • Official employment under Cyprus labor law for employees based in Cyprus
  • Work from the office in Limassol or remotely from another country
  • Schedule: 5/2 with a flexible start of the working day between 08:00 and 11:00
  • Salary based on interview results
  • Annual leave: 21 working days or 28 calendar days per year, depending on the applicable work calendar
