Responsibilities

  • Deploy and administer PostgreSQL and MySQL (Percona Server)
  • Operate high-load clusters on bare metal
  • Design and evolve high availability (HA) architecture
  • Perform capacity planning and select appropriate server configurations
  • Set up and develop monitoring systems (metrics, alerts, SLA)
  • Configure and optimize replication, backup, and failover mechanisms
  • Perform database performance tuning
  • Optimize database, operating system, and storage configurations
  • Participate in incident analysis and conduct RCA
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration (Ansible)

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of Linux
  • Experience operating PostgreSQL and MySQL in production environments
  • Experience with Percona Server
  • Experience with Ansible or other configuration management tools
  • Experience working with high-load systems
  • Experience with HA clusters
  • Understanding of fault-tolerant architecture principles
  • Experience with Percona Toolkit and Percona Monitoring and Management
  • Scripting skills (Python or Bash)
  • Experience with monitoring systems (Prometheus, Zabbix)
  • Experience with logging systems (ELK, LogHouse, Graylog)
  • Experience with ClickHouse

Working Conditions

  • Office-based role in Limassol (with an option to work from the Belgrade office)
