Finance Analyst/Controller

Responsibilities

  • Review and prepare data and documentation for the external audit of the group of companies
  • Liaise with auditors, banks, tax advisors, and other external stakeholders
  • Collect, review, and archive financial and supporting documentation
  • Review documents and prepare information for VAT reporting across multiple legal entities
  • Collect and prepare documentation for provisional corporation tax calculations
  • Work with QuickBooks to review accounting data and financial statements
  • Post year-end journal entries
  • Monitor the quality and timely preparation of the group's financial statements
  • Participate in audit planning together with the Team Lead and track the execution of the agreed audit plan
  • Prepare documentation and support KYC, Due Diligence, and banking review procedures
  • Assist with opening bank accounts and handling banking requests
  • Ensure timely submission of documentation to auditors, banks, and external advisors
  • Monitor the group's compliance with tax obligations
  • Participate in internal financial control activities and the continuous improvement of financial processes
  • Prepare analytical reports and supporting documentation upon management request
  • Work with English-language documentation

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience as an Auditor or Accountant
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
  • 2+ years of experience working with external auditors and participating in audits of financial statements for international companies
  • Hands-on experience with accounting software
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and CaseWare
  • Upper-Intermediate (B2) or higher level of English
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • High attention to detail, accuracy, responsibility, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
  • Nice to have: experience working in the IT or software development industry
